Portfolio featuring short analysis. By Lily Farquharson
These photos are representative of my life size final piece, and the planning produced towards it for my project on the 7 deadly sins, I ultimately decided to focus on Greed and therefore created a gown with materials inspired by the personality of Greed. However, prior to this I developed various ideas for each sin, creating detailed drawings and manipulating fabric samples to achieve different effects and styles for each gown. Shown above are just a few of the numerous sins I researched and designed gowns for.
I believe this A4 artists copy of one of Jasper Branse hyperrealistic pencil drawings, portrays my pencil drawing capabilities and the fact that I am interested in using multiple types of medium.

I completed this A2 copy of abstract artist Paul Wrights' 'Head of a Proud Man' in an effort to gain greater insight into abstract painting, using acrylic paints, in order to carry out my personal investigation project.
I produced this A2 abstract artwork from my own photography as a reflection on various other abstract artists as a final piece to my personal investigation.
Adversely, I created this A4 painting through my investigation of manipulation of the face using cello-tape. I included this image as I feel it conveys my ability to paint loosley and with mixed media with my use of both acrylic paints and pencil.
These photos are from a project whereby my focus was paper and the ways in which I could used and design various shapes that I used to create a life size paper dress and heel-less shoe impaired most profoundly by the designs of John Galliano and Alexander Mcqueen.

Lastly this A2 acrylic painting of a turtle has been incorporated into my most recent project focused on Marine pollution where I am now in the process or creating a garment reflective of marine pollutions impact of sea life, using both recyclable and symbolic materials to convey this theme.
